St. Andrews cathedral is the largest and one of the oldest in Scotland. Dating from as far back as 1160 this cathedral was consecrated in the presence of Robert the Bruce. Situated within the old city walls, the cathedral museum has an outstanding collection of early Christian and medieval monuments.
